WYLD is working with George Washington Carver Middle School to bring environmental education opportunities to inner-city students. We combine outdoor classroom learning, team building initiatives, and good old-fashioned hard work in the garden; students plan and plant fruits and vegetables as they learn about geology, water cycles, plant ecology, and more. Outside of the garden, we have multiple opportunities for day hikes to explore local California wilderness as well as camping trips to amazing locations such as Mono Lake and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
